CAMILLO Award 2024

BVRD

Last Thursday, we travelled to Vienna for the Camillo Award 2024.
Under the patronage of National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka, outstanding commitment to the rescue service was honoured at a festive event. The aim of the BVRD's Camillo Award is to emphasise the importance of pre-hospital emergency care in Austria and to discuss concrete perspectives for its further development.

After the exciting keynote speech ‘Rescue Service 2030’ by Helmut Trimmel, President of the Austrian Society for Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care Medicine (ÖGARI), the Camillo Awards were presented.

The winners were selected from more than 93 nominations.

In the special award category for outstanding initiatives, the 17-member jury selected the initiators of the emergency medicine competition ‘ride and rescue’.
